Lieke Martens star of the winning dutch team at the euros has been chosen as European player of the Year. Lieke Martens won this election before Pernille Harder (2) and Dzsenifer Marozsan (3).
In her native Country she played for SC Heerenveen and VVV Venlo. After that she went to Belgium for a short stop in Standard Liege. There she played that well that then German giants FCR Duisburg, still playing with players like Annike Krahn, Linda Bresonik, Inka Grings hired her. In her Period in Liege she made her first matches for the Netherlands.
After 2 seasons in Germany it was time again for another chapter.
